MULTIPLEX CHANGES COMPLETION DATE FOR WEMBLEY STADIUM.
SYDNEY, June 1 Asia Pulse - Building company Multiplex Ltd (ASX:MXG) now expects to substantially complete work at London's behind-schedule Wembley Stadium by July 13.
Earlier this month, Multiplex said most of the $A1 billion ($US759.95 million) redevelopment, which was originally due to be delivered on January 31 this year, would be finished at the end of June.
"Substantial completion is now anticipated on 13 July 2006, leaving certain works relating to the recent removal of cranes and hoists and certain activities such as commissioning and cleaning to be completed after this date," the company said.
In an update to financial markets, Multiplex reaffirmed that the commissioning and cleaning works were not expected to be finished until September.
