DAVID BECKHAM lost that winning feeling somewhere between Manchester and Madrid. It took the new Wembley for him to get it back.
"I have never experienced not winning before, " he said as he stood in the middle of the national stadium, hard hat tucked under his arm and metal-toed boots deep in sand.
"There was only one season at Manchester United when we didn't collect something. Winning came naturally."
It hasn't since his switch to Spain.
The last silverware Beckham got his hands on was the Premiership trophy United won in 2003. Too long for the England captain.
So where better to break his duck than as captain of England in Germany? The first England captain to win anything since the late Bobby Moore in 1966.
