'CLOTH Sculpture' - a workshop with our own talented club member, Mavis Hall, was 'on the cards'.
Ten members started at 7.30pm and by the 'grace of God' ten members finished at 10pm. Two millimetre suspension wire and six small staples were used to form the skeleton shape. Pairs of tights (legs only) were then wrapped round the 'mummy' and finishing plaster was used to dip the garments that draped the figure.
By all accounts, Mavis certainly had her work cut out. She was very patient and gave clear instructions to pupils who were variously out of control. Amid much …
