Penn State's coach guilty of homophobia.(NEWSWATCH)
An internal investigation determined that Penn State women's basketball coach Rene Portland is guilty of discriminating against former player Jennifer Harris by creating a "hostile, intimidating and offensive environment," due to her perceiving Harris as a lesbian and Harris being black.
Disciplinary measures against Portland include:
* a $10,000 fine
* a written reprimand in her personnel file
* a requirement to participate in diversity training
* a warning that a repeat offense will get her fired
Harris is suing Portland, AD Timothy Curley and Penn State for discrimination, so the results of Penn's internal investigation results will support her 2005 federal ...
