A federal appeals court recently upheld the dismissal of a sexual harassment case against the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and its longtime soccer coach, Anson Dorrance.
By a 2-1 vote, the panel decided that his accuser, a former player, failed to prove that the coach created a sexually hostile environment. It conceded that Dorrance regularly used vulgar expressions and made inappropriate comments about his players' sex lives and appearances.
