A small Canadian technology company has succeeded in attracting seed capital from a group of 10 high-profile angel investors in Silicon Valley.
StumbleUpon Inc. raised money from a group that includes Google Inc. director Ram Shriram, Google advisor Rajeev Motwani and Lotus Inc. founder Mitch Kapoor.
Garrett Camp, StumbleUpon's chief architect, said raising the little more than US$1-million happened fairly quickly after a couple of casual conversations with venture capital firms in Canada failed to generate much traction.
