With no Olympics or World Championships this year, Kansas State University officials hope the U.S. vs. Germany Decathlon and Heptathlon on the school's campus in August will draw some of the two countries' best athletes.
School officials on Thursday announced plans for the competition, which will be held Aug. 5-6 at the R.V. Christian Track Complex.
"We are honored to have some of the world's top athletes competing on the K-State campus," senior associate athletics director Jim Epps said. "This event will provide the world and the track and field community with a small glimpse of what K-State has to offer."
