The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) at http://www.doaj.org/ identifies and provides full access to more than 1777 quality-controlled scientific and scholarly journals published in any language--all free, online, and in full text. Sixteen music journals are included with the following new additions (inception date follows): Chapter & Verse: A Journal of Popular Music and Literature Studies no. 1 (Spring 2004); Critical Studies in Improvisation/Etudes critiques en improvisation 1 no. 1 (2004); Frankfurter Zeitschrift fur Musikwissenschaft 1 no. 1 (1998); JMM: The Journal of Music and Meaning no. 1 (2003); Journal of the Society for Musicology in Ireland 1 (2005); Samples: Notizen, Projekte und Kurzbeitrage zur Popularmusikforschung no. 1 (2002); Sul Ponticello no. 1 (2004). Phase two of DOAJ, a searchable article index, became available in spring 2004. Currently no music titles are indexed. Users may suggest journals for inclusion at: http://www.doaj.org/suggest.
