British lads' mag pioneer Ed Needham, the editor in chief of Dennis Publishing's Maxim in the US, has resigned and intends to return to England.

Needham, former editor of both British and US editions of FHM magazine, resigned three months ago, but the company has only just made public his departure.

He has been replaced by Jimmy Jellinek, the editor in chief of Dennis Publishing stablemate Stuff.
