KOREAN AIR, ASIANA TO APPLY FUEL SURCHARGES ON ALL INTERNATIONAL ROUTES
SEOUL - Existing fuel surcharges levied on Korean Air and Asiana Airlines airfares will be expanded to all international routes next month, bumping up the long-haul airfares of South Korea's two flag carriers by up to US$30. All 26 international air routes will be affected by the move designed to cushion the impact of higher fuel prices. Fares to Japan are slated to rise by US$7, while fares to Europe and North America will rise by around three times that amount.
