CARL QUINTANILLA, CNBC ANCHOR: Henry Schein is one of the world`s largest distributors of the influenza vaccine, and with avian flu now threatening to hit the U.S., the company is busy planning for any possible pandemic. STANLEY BERGMAN, CHMN., PRES. & CEO, HENRY SCHEIN: Carl, thanks for having us on the show this morning.
QUINTANILLA: The estimate on First Call was for 39 cents. How was the quarter?
BERGMAN: We had a terrific quarter. Top line was good at 9 percent. We increased our earnings, our operating income, 20 basis points improvement leading to a 17 percent increase in operating income.
