MELISSA LEE, CNBC ANCHOR: General Electric gave a solid 2006 forecast at its annual meeting today. CEO Jeff Immelt says he sees the company`s 2006 earnings up 15 percent. That is better than the 13 percent rise expected of the S&P 500 as a whole.
Sales expected to be up 10 percent to $165 billion. GE, of course, the parent of this network. But is this news enough to get the shares of the world`s second largest company moving?
