Goalkeeper Ryan Clarke admits he faces an anxious few days before discovering whether his Bristol Rovers career is over.

The 24-year-old is back at the Memorial Stadium after finishing his season-long loan stint with Forest Green Rovers, helping them escape the threat of relegation from the Conference.

But with his Pirates contract up this summer, Clarke is waiting to hear whether he will be handed the chance to extend his stay at the club.

"I went on loan when Ian Atkins was in charge and looking back now, maybe I cut off my nose to spite my face," said Clarke.
