Through its procreate line of creative enhancement tools, Corel Corporation has released KPT effects, the latest in its KPT line of graphics filters. Available for Windows 98 and optimized for Mac OS X (the Installer offers a choice between OS X and Classic), KPT effects extends the capabilities of Adobe Photoshop, Painter 7, and any other program that supports Adobe Photoshop plug-ins. The nine included filters fall into two categories. Improved classic filters such as FraxFlame II, Gradient Lab, Hyper Tiling, and Channel Surfing are joined by new, eye-catching effects, such as Fluid, Ink Dropper, Lightning, Pyramid Paint, and Scatter.
