TAIWAN STOCK INVESTORS MORE OPTIMISTIC: POLL.
TAIPEI, May 3 Asia Pulse - The index for local stock investors' mood jumped significantly from February to April due to the rising local bourse, according to survey results published Tuesday by Shih Hsin University.
Along with a bullish stock market whose weighted index -- the key gauge of the Taiwan Stock Exchange -- has climbed by more than 1,000 points from the end of March until now, investors are also more upbeat about a mid- and long-term rising streak in the local bourse in view of improved cross-Taiwan Strait ties, according to Professor Kuo Min-hua.
Meanwhile, the index for local stock traders' mood jumped from minus 64.6 points for February to minus 2.3 points for April, the survey shows.
