SEOUL, May 3 Asia Pulse - South Korean stocks opened higher Wednesday as an overnight gain in U.S. stocks bolstered the market.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 8.48 points, or 0.59 per cent, to 1,443.38 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
The 100-share, blue-chip KRX 100 gained 18.44 points, or 0.61 per cent, to 3,008.67, and the tech-rich KOSDAQ index added 6.20 points, or 0.90 per cent, to 694.04.
