RUPIAH'S EXCHANGE RATE SUITABLE FOR BUSINESS: BI GOVERNOR.
JAKARTA, May 3 Asia Pulse - The governor of Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI), Burhanuddin Abdullah said the rupiah's current exchange rate, ranging from Rp8,700 to 8,800 per US dollar is still fit for the businesspeople.
"If the rupiah's exchange rate stands at about Rp9,000 per US dollar, I think all parties could accept it. There is no sharp comment from exporters," Burhanuddin said after attending the opening of the Syariah Expo at the Jakarta Convention Center here on Tuesday.
Burhanuddin made the remarks based on the result of a survey of businesspeople conducted by BI.
