After hearing glass breaking in her house at 6:00 a.m., a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, woman called the police, armed herself, and investigated.

The unidentified woman, upon hearing the glass break, retrieved the gun she had purchased the previous summer after her older brother was murdered. She then went downstairs to investigate. She knew that she couldn't just hole up in her room and wait for police to arrive because her teenage brother and six-year-old son were downstairs.

Downstairs, she discovered a strange man. He walked directly toward her, and she shot at him twice. "The shots sailed over the intruder's head into the wall as he dropped to the ground," she indicated to WISN Channel 12 News. The intruder, an unidentified man from Green Bay, Wisconsin, fled from the armed woman into the living room, where the woman's brother and son were located.
