Manchester and Leeds set Kings Chambers overcame a difficult first half of the year to post a 2 per cent income rise to GBP13.5m in 2005-06.
The set saw its turnover increase from GBP13.2m in 2004-05. Revenue per barrister reached a healthy GBP211,000.
Senior clerk Colin Griffin said the year had begun slowly, with few cases reaching court. However, the second six months were busier, and 2006-07 has begun strongly with a renewed upturn in court work.
