Jose Martinez was almost another victim of our loose borders with Mexico, but he arrived home just in time to corral some criminals.
At about 11:15 p.m. on January 3, Martinez returned home and found that thieves had broken into his house. He grabbed a .22-caliber rifle that was just inside a door, went "inside and confronted two burglars inside his residence," according to the Del Rio News-Herald.
