Just under 100 teams from 65 colleges will lose scholarships over the next year under a new NCAA plan to punish college sports programs with poor academic records.

The teams will lose up to 10% of the scholarships that they are allowed to give during the academic year. To escape the penalties, teams had to meet the 925 point cut-off score for Academic Progress Rate (APR).
