Shipyard IHI Marine United is reported to have been scrutinising worker movements to such an extent that it has come up with a 'toilet commuting index' revealing trips to the toilet take up between 7%-17% of worker 'travel time'.

But hold on, in a bid to boost productivity, the company is reviewing the deployment of machinery and personnel and says its aim is for toilet commutes to account for 70% of the time workers spend moving around its facility.
