SIMON WISE, deputy director general of The British Franchise Association (BFA), is putting theory into practice by leaving the organisation to become a franchisee.

Wise has worked at the BFA for seven years and has now purchased a Driver Hire franchise in North London. He announced his career change to self-employment at the BFA's recent Annual General Meeting, saying: 'My time at the association has been fulfilling, but my true inspiration has been drawn from the success and drive of the many BFA franchise brands and franchisees that I have been in contact with for the last seven years.
