10 Players on the rise

G Mario Chalmers, Kansas. He's not better than Brandon Rush, but Chalmers had a better scoring average, 14.7 to 13.7, over the final 19 games.

G Jamont Gordon, Mississippi State. The young pups have a stats stuffer and a primary building block in Gordon.

F Jeff Green, Georgetown. Sometime soon--say, next season--John Thompson will turn Green's tantalizing talent into prodigious production.

F Richard Hendrix, Alabama. He already is a beast on the boards, and he also has the tools to be a big scorer.

G Kyle Lowry, Villanova. He will go from a supporting to a starring role as fast as he moves from one end of the court to the other.

G Jerel McNeal, Marquette. He became a consistent scorer this season and will team with Dominic James to form a dynamic backcourt.
