Sometimes, it can be as if we are watching the college basketball season through the magic of time-lapse photography. One moment, Joakim Noah is a skinny kid who dazzles no one while averaging a few points and a few minutes per game, distinguishing himself only with a funky hairstyle and the occasional loud blocked shot. Then, like a pea plant bursting through the soil on some Discovery Channel program, he is a star--the star of the NCAA Tournament.
