FREE-SCORING Thomas Barron was the inspiration behind this five-point win by St Peter's College at Power Park, Wexford yesterday.

Barron sparkled through the opening quarter as he struck four consecutive points, and his side went in leading 0-7 to 0-3. The Wexford side then seemed to have put the game beyond reach with a Shane Cadogan goal 60 seconds after the restart.

However, the Dublin college battled back with a succession of points until there were just three separating the sides, 1-7 to 0-7, with minutes left.
