General Tire Inc. recently introduced a number of new Continental radial truck tires at the International Commercial Tire and Service Exposition in Nashville.

The Continental HD 84, designed for drive applications, features the company's EOT (Energy Optimizing Technology).

According to General, independent tests show the HD 84's casing is fuel efficient into the fourth retread.

The tire has staggered rows of 26/32nds-inch-deep tread blocks. The low-profile truck tire is available in two sizes: 275/80R22.5 and 285/75R24.5.

The HD 84 is the "companion" tire to the HS 80 narrow steer tire, which also is EOT-engineered for fuel economy and irregular wear resistance.
