A Las Vegas police officer struck Aquileo Jimenez-Duran with a nightstick, stunned him with a Taser and shot him twice, but Duran kept advancing on the officer, according to testimony in court Friday.
Officer Jon David told jurors at an inquest into Duran's death that he had no choice but to shoot the auto theft suspect three times after Duran grabbed the officer's nightstick and attacked him.
David said he feared for his life, especially after a Taser and two gunshots failed to stop Duran.
