MELBOURNE, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- A majority of foreign students in Australia has suffered discrimination and bad treatment, researchers have found.

A Melbourne study reveals 51 per cent experienced discrimination, with women and those in regional areas more likely to be affected, 'The Age' newspaper reported.

The study by the Monash Institute for the Study of Global Movements investigated the social and economic security of 200 international students from nine universities.
