A CREDIT agreement between Maritsa Iztok 2, the thermal power plant, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was signed at Bulgaria's energy ministry Tuesday. The EBRD provides EUR 25 million for construction of desulphurising facilities at units five and six of the plant. The total cost of the project stands at EUR 66.6 million.
