BEIJING, December 01, SinoCast -- China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII) has submitted a propositional report about the issuing of third-generation telecom service operating licenses to related bodies of the country's State Council, according to sources close to the ministry.

The report says that under the current pattern of four 3G licenses to be issued, China Mobile and China Unicom, the two largest mobile telecom carriers in the country, will be granted one separately, with WCDMA and CDMA2000 as network-establishing standards.
