SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST:
- The ICAC has arrested the chairman, three board members and financial controller of television maker Skyworth Digital for alleged corruption relating to fraud and pilfering of corporate funds.
- The heat was turned up yesterday in the row over the demolition of the Hunghom Peninsula development, with a government minister and an executive councillor blasting the plan.
THE STANDARD:
- The chairman of Skyworth Digital Holdings, China's third-biggest television manufacturer, was arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption in Hong Kong on Tuesday along with nine other people on charges of misappropriating company funds.
- The Buildings Department is stepping up its battle against an estimated 600,000 illegal structures with an amended law that increases penalties for flat owners caught constructing illegal additions to their property.
