CANBERRA, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - The Chinese government should widen the trading band for the yuan to take pressure off other currencies, Treasurer Peter Costello said today.
Mr Costello said the stronger Australian dollar was hurting the efforts of exporters.
He said there were only a limited number of currencies against which the US dollar would adjust, and that included Australia, much to the country's exporters detriment.
