The recent in-flight BWIA magazine hailed India's Harbance (Mickey) Kumar as the pioneer and the most successful moviemaker in the West Indies. Professor Keith Q. Warner, of George Mason University, Virginia USA in his book, ON LOCATION, also applauded the path blazing achievements of Mickey.
Some people chase fame and some chase fame away. Yet this unique individual has changed his name to Mickey Nivelli, after achieving fame. The maker of the first and most successful West Indian movies, The Right and The Wrong, The Caribbean Fox, Girl from India, Messing Around, Jealous, and Man from Africa, was asked by surprised observers as to why he sacrificed such hard-won fame.
