KUWAIT, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - An agreement between Iran and Kuwait to implement projects agreed upon during the recently concluded Iran-Kuwait Joint Economic Commission session was signed by the two sides.
The agreement was signed by Iranian Commerce Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari and Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad, the special adviser of the Kuwait crown prince and prime minister.
Kuwaiti Trade Minister Abdallah al-Rahman al-Tawil was among those present at the signing ceremony.
Sabah al-Ahmad, referring to the agreement, said it was a turning point in economic ties between the two countries.
He expressed hope the desired results would become evident in April 2005 after a timetable has been set for implementation of the projects.
The Kuwaiti trade minister said the agreement was important for Kuwaiti trade in view of Iran`s being "a gateway to Central Asian markets."
