NEW DELHI, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) plans to develop an exclusive minor port in Mumbai in order to smoothen its core operations.
The proposed port would help in decongesting load at the Mumbai port, Food Secretary and Chairman of the Corporation S K Tuteja said.
He added that the Corporation was also exploring possibilities of introducing single window facilities similar to those offered by the Railways.
The CWC has signed an MoU with Indian Railways for developing Rail Side Warehousing Facilities at Bangalore as a Pilot Project.
