SUBIC BAY FREEPORT-Officials of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) are optimistic that the signing of a free trade agreement (FTA) with Japan will entice more Japanese investors to the freeport zone.

"Subic freeport will (be) like a magnet (to) Japanese investors, and we can assure them that the SBMA will extend utmost cooperation to meet their needs," SBMA Administrator Alfredo Antonio said during a meeting with Japanese investors last Friday.
