THE MILITARY recruit who claimed last week that Army Maj. Ferdinand Ramos solicited sexual favors from him and fellow recruits yesterday went to the Senate to seek protection from Sen. Rodolfo Biazon.
Biazon told reporters that the recruit, whom he did not name, was afraid for his life and sought his protection.
But the senator said he instead endorsed the recruit to the deputy chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines personnel or J-1 because he had "no facility to provide (the latter) protection.''
"I'm told that he will be provided security or taken under the Witness Protection Program of the AFP,'' he said in a news conference.
