"DON'T linger at curtain call."
This is just one of many words of wisdom imparted to actor Leo Martinez by his friend, theater great Zenaida Amador, who passed away last Sunday afternoon. The two founded Repertory Philippines in 1967 along with Baby Barredo and Tony and Monina Mercado.
Through the years, Rep has built a name staging topnotch classic and contemporary plays, as well as musicals.
"Ngayon nag-bow out na, e, 'di tapos na (She has bowed out, it's over for her). She didn't like fanfare. She was a very simple person," Leo said of his fellow actor and director during an interview with Inquirer Entertainment on Monday.
