Getting Robot was easier for colonel.

GIVEN the grilling he underwent yesterday, this Army colonel probably thought it was much easier facing down Abu Sayyaf bandit Commander Robot, which he did in 2003, than facing the members of the Commission on Appointments.
But in the end, the members of the CA national defense committee, impressed by his achievements, endorsed the promotion to full colonel of Aminkadra Undug, along with 29 others, in a hearing yesterday.
The bemedalled Undug, who was the principal officer behind the capture of Ghalib Andang or Commander Robot in Jolo last year, was in the CA hot seat for more than 40 minutes.
His promotion was opposed by Panamao Mayor Bassar Abdurajak who told the CA about a visit the colonel paid to his municipality on election day on May 10.
It turned out Undug's brother was running against Abdurajak. The brother lost the election but he filed an election protest against Abdurajak who was reelected.
