KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 Asia Pulse - Malaysia Airlines (MAS) (KLSE:MASM) has booked a net profit of RM159.29 million (US$41.92 million) for the six months ended 30 September 2004, a jump of 351 per cent from a net loss of RM63.45 million posted during the same period a year ago.

The national flag carrier said the sharply higher profit was achieved on the back of a 35.4 per cent surge in revenues to RM5.2 billion, which was driven by increase of passenger uplift of 31 per cent and the continued growth of the MASkargo operations.
