by ALISON BELLAMY A CHARITY has donated a minibus to the Navy....in memory of a Yorkshireman killed in a Russian convoy 62 years ago.
Captain Bob Cooling of HMS Illustrious and five members of his crew travelled down from Rosyth naval base in Scotland to North Yorkshire, to be presented by the George A Moore Foundation with a seventeen-seater minibus and trailer, plus a generous cheque for GBP10,000.
Trustees, friends, and family of the Foundation gathered outside its office at Mitre House, Harrogate and watched as chief administrator, Angela James, presented the minibus to the captain of the vessel.
