Tired of banging their heads against the glass or stained glass ceilings, an increasing number of women are starting their own businesses.
Women on campus are also giving the idea a serious look. A growing number are giving up the quest for tenure, doing some consulting on the side while keeping their day jobs on campus or leaving academe all together to strike out on their own.
