College wrestling coaches may have lost their last match against Title IX in October, when a federal appeals court ruled that although schools may be eliminating men's sports to comply with federal regulations, the U.S. Department of Education is not liable for the cuts.
In the three-judge panel's ruling, Judges Harry Edwards and Karen LeCraft Henderson said the coaches offered "nothing but unadorned speculation" that forcing the Education Department to change its rules would bring back men's teams.
