I have just watched the BBC's Whistleblower programme which has supposedly broken the news that a number of estate agents in this country operate outside the ethical boundaries expected of those in positions of trust.

Have I been on another planet for the past 20 years? Anybody who has worked in the estate agency industry knows the majority of companies in that market which strive to work within the aforementioned ethical boundaries have been campaigning for years to tighten controls on the minority of rogue estate agents.

Even now many of these rogue firms insist that each applicant visits …
