COLOGNE, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- Cologne, with its majestic Gothic cathedral on the banks of the river Rhine, witnessed large-scale demonstrations by Muslims against acts of brutal terror carried out by perpetrators in the name of Islam.
Responding to criticisms from churches and politicians in Germany that Muslims living in Germany were not voicing their opposition to the violence carried out by Islamic fundamentalists, more than 20,000 people turned out Sunday to demonstrate against terrorist acts, holding placards reading "Hand in Hand for Peace and Against Terror".
