Embattled Maj. Gen. Carlos F. Garcia, who is facing charges of corruption for his unexplained wealth, still has an account with the Air Material Wing Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AMWSLAI) the Court of Appeals has not frozen.

In a letter to the AMLC Executive Director Vicente S. Aquino, retired police Chief Supt. Luvin G. Manay, chairman and president of AMWSLAI revealed that the account, which was opened in August 1999, had a balance of P295,759.39 as of Nov. 5.
