The production mode of mobile phone manufacturers has four levels. For the first level, the production means sticking the labels of their own brands or just assembling the components from OEMs (SKD or CKD); for the second level, the production involving designs; and for the third level, the production includes the fabrication of module and hardware platform; and the last one is the level of chip production. There are only about ten mobile phone manufacturers in the globe that have the ability of last level. Most domestic brand manufacturers are only at the first or second level.
