MELAKA, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- Melaka to be transformed into a developed state by 2010. This is the ambitious goal of the state government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Ali Rustam.

With only six years left, can this second smallest state after Perlis, with a population of about 700,000, realise the goal?

What are the preparations made towards achieving the target?

Can the people's current average per capita income of RM16,000 be increased to RM26,000 by 2010?
