Players Who Hit 40 or More Doubles and Home Runs in The Same Season

There have been only 18 players in major league history who have
clubbed 40 or more doubles and 40-plus home runs in the same
season--a feat accomplished 25 times. Players who have reached the 40
2B/40 HR plateau multiple times include Lou Gehrig (3), Babe Ruth (2.),
Chuck Klein (2), Hank Greenberg (2), Albert Belle (2) and Todd Helton
(2). Belle is the only player to accumulate 50 or more doubles and
home runs in the same campaign. See accompanying chart.
